Peace on Earth?
A Tapestry Advent Sermon Series
November 30 - December 28
When the angels announced the birth of Jesus, they proclaimed “peace on earth, goodwill toward men.” Yet two thousand years later, our world still groans with conflict, anxiety, and division. Where is the peace God promised? In this series, we’ll explore what the Bible truly means by peace—not as the absence of struggle, but as the presence of Christ within it.
Companion Podcast: We all hear it every Christmas — “peace on earth, goodwill to all.” But let’s be honest... peace can feel hard to find these days. That’s why this Advent, your Tapestry pastors are launching a fun and thoughtful new podcast to accompany our 'Peace on Earth?' sermon series. Each week, we’ll sit down with amazing people from around Indiana who are doing their best to bring peace into messy, everyday life. You’ll laugh, reflect, and maybe even be inspired to find your own ways to live out God’s peace right where you are. So grab a cup of coffee and join the conversation this Advent season — because peace on earth starts closer to home than we think.
Weekly episodes are available beginning Sunday, November 30. The Peace on Earth? podcast is available on most music/podcast services, or you can listen from our dedicated podcast webpage!
Advent Podcast
Family Christmas Tree: Bring in an ornament that represents you, your family or “framily” to hang on the Family Christmas Tree! This is one of our favorite traditions and each and every ornament tells the story of ALL of us. Don't have an ornament to hang on the tree? We'll have ornament kits for you to use on December 1! Feel free to grab one from our Advent Resources Table.
Yule Logs and Candles: We continue to offer this tangible centering piece that you can pick up for yourself or a friend or neighbor. Every time you eat a meal, light a candle each week as we move towards Christmas to remember the light of Christ that has come into the world that the darkness can never overcome. Feel free to grab one from our Advent Resources Table.
