Joining us for Worship?

At First Church we are welcoming and open to everyone. Our purpose is to share God’s love with all who come to meet God. The message is the same in all of our services and is taught in a way that is easy to connect to no matter what your background may be.

Sunday school offers classes for preschoolers through senior adults, with some short term topic based classes as well. If you are interested in joining a Sunday School class, just stop by the Welcome Center and we'll get you connected!

Sunday School

Chapter 2

This is a more laid back, family-friendly service held in the fellowship hall with a praise band. We sit at tables and offer multiple ways for you to engage in worship during this service.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR

Dress comfortably or go all out—you decide. We are a very diverse church. You’ll feel right at home wearing anything from jeans to business casual to your Sunday best.

WHERE SHOULD I GO WHEN I ARRIVE?

You can always enter through any glass door on Sunday mornings, but if you easy access here is some helpful information:

Sanctuary

Use doors 1 or 13, our accessible, covered entrance. When you come inside you can head to the coat closet if you have anything you would like to hang.

Our Welcome Center, located just in front of the big stone pillar in The Commons, is where you can find guest information. One of our friendly volunteers with a brightly colored lanyard will be more than happy to show you around.

Chapter 2

Use door 8 which leads you right into Fellowship Hall. Doors 1 and 13 are also open and Fellowship Hall is located on the west side of the building. Feel free to use the coat closet and restrooms before heading that way or use the coat rack and restrooms in Fellowship Hall.

The Welcome Center in Fellowship Hall is where you can go for information, coffee and help. One of our friendly volunteers with a brightly colored lanyard will be more than happy to show you around.

Childcare

We have well-equipped nursery staff who would love to take care of your precious little one. Children from birth through age 4 may hang out in our Nursery anytime from before our first service begins to the time our last worship service ends.

Mission & Vision

We accept the challenge set forth by the United Methodist Church to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We will strive to live that out through our mission which we believe is the purpose of First United Methodist Church in Auburn:

Our mission is to be a community of faith bringing Christlike unconditional love and acceptance to all.

We believe that God has given us a vision, a direction and goal to move forward as we live out our mission in the community and in the world:

Our vision is to bring God's grace to all as we grow as disciples ... striving to be like Jesus, loving everyone, and helping others.
