Why we exist
We
exist to help teens become fully devoted followers of Christ,
developing a faith that will last well beyond their teen years. We
believe that teens are not the next generation to impact the kingdom of
God, but rather a generation who is and can make an impact today.
What We Value
At
First United Methodist Church, we value equally the need for teens to
be involved in intergenerational worship services and other activities,
while also having their own age specific environments that build
community among their peers. We strive to create opportunities that
unite the whole family and assist them, in cooperation with the Holy
Spirit, in forming Christlikeness in their children. Some of the age
specific venues include Encounter, Youth Group, Camp, Confirmation, and
other seasonal activities.
